AGENDA
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Educational Session (4 CECs)
"Seasonal Water Allocation by Site using ET, Crop Coefficients and Scheduling Adjustments"
Presented by John Raffiani
When you design an irrigation system knowing how much water it potentially needs during the watering season is information your client would like to know-and so would you. In this course we will cover how to accurately allocate water to a given area and calculate the amount used using ET, crop coefficients, effective rainfall and precipitation rates. By working through two site examples, we will determine consumption totals and dollar costs to run the systems. Water is expensive-knowing the costs in advance will set you apart from the competition when you see actual consumption.
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Educational Session (4 CECs)
"Alternative Water Sources for Landscape Irrigation"
Presented by John Raffiani
This course highlights many ways to understand and use alternative water sources for irrigation. Learn how to determine if and when to use alternatives to potable water by way of the five questions to ask. Know the difference between primary and secondary water plus the pros and cons of each. Understand how to use a shallow well to supply a high demand property, pump out of ponds and lakes, gather runoff from different sources and store water for future use. How to design, control and utilize alternative storage systems will also be covered in depth.
6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
